Out of the Shadows
Discovering yourself is a lifelong journey. Living your life you realize that things don't always happen the way you expect them to. 5 years ago I would've been surprised to see where I am today. And yet, here I am regardless. The journey of life has brought me here, to this moment. It's not easy for me to be vulnerable and share myself with others. Growing up I was known as the "shy" kid, the one that blended in with the rest of the crowd. It was safe to be part of the crowd, so I stayed there. But it wasn't freeing and I wasn't able to really be myself and stand out as an individual. It's been a long journey to figure out how to be me and to figure out who I am. I'm still figuring it out, but I have a better picture of myself than I did even a year ago. I want to always be true to myself and who I really am.
